Detox Your Body in Three Different Ways.

Why is it important to detox your body? Everyday, we are exposed to numerous toxins that get into our body through many different venues. The food we eat, the water we drink and even the air we breathe contain toxins of all kinds. The only thing we can do about this problem is to avoid taking in as many toxins as possible.

There’s not much we can do about the air we breathe, but we can change what we eat and what we drink. We can go on a detox, and there are several different ways to detox. They include, the natural detox diet, the foot detox, and the skin detox.  Below, the three ways to detoxify your body will be explained.

The foot detox

Spawned out of an ancient Japanese legend, the foot detox began thousands of years ago. Some monks and sickly people were on a pilgrimage and tired, and they came upon a hot spring while they were traveling on a deep mountain. Before going to sleep, the people soaked their feet in the spring. When they woke up, they were healthy people, and they felt the “foot spa” detoxified their entire bodies.

Now, Japanese foot spas are sold all over the world with the slight suggestion that they work to detoxify the body. The foot detox is very popular, and many people feel it helps them to lose weight and cure any ailments they might be experiencing. Research has shown that the foot detox does alleviate tension, but is has not been proven to get rid of fungi, bacteria and viruses. It has also has not been shown to consistently help people loose weight. And only sometimes does the foot detox work to alleviate skin problems.

With all of the controversy surrounding the foot detox, it’s no wonder people are a little hesitant to try it out. However, it’s good to keep in mind that suggestion is very powerful. 

The natural detox

This type of detox is a diet that is composed of fish, fruits, vegetables, and water. The natural detox is based on the idea of elimination. First, a person must elimate alcohol, processed foods, and sugary foods from their diet.

Then, a person needs to drink about two quarts of water per day. The water helps the body to elimate toxins and other impurities because it makes a person urinate more than normal.  The fiber that is in the fruits and vegetables will increase bowel movements. Toxins and other bad chemicals will be eliminated from the body this way as well.

The skin detox

This is a wonderful way to detox your body. All you need is a coarse brush, a sauna, and some facial masks. In order to detox your body this way, you should take the brush and use it all over your body.  Brushing your body with the brush will help to rid the skin of dead cells and other skin impurities.  After you have done this, let your body rest for maybe a day or two. Then, visit the sauna and get sweaty. The sweat will allow your body to eliminate toxins through your pores.
