How To Relieve Chronic Back Pain Without Medication

Suffering from chronic pain in the middle of your back can be frustrating.  When you experience this, you can only do so much.  There are different causes of back pain in general.  Ones that you may be more familiar with have to do with your disc.  When you disc in your back is falling apart, it will affect the vertebrae.  This in turn, leads to a pinched nerve and excruciating pain.

You can also experience a ruptured disc, which can cause serious damage to your back if not treated properly.

Chronic middle back pain can be caused by having poor posture.  This is a result of not sitting up straight when you mom constantly reminded you to.  Or, if you sit one way for a long period of time, that can cause chronic middle back pain also.  It is important that you not get sedentary on your job or act like a couch potato at home.  This in turn, will cause you to become stiff and chronic middle back pain can happen as a result.

There are other causes to chronic middle back pain.  They include:

• Stiffness from not moving around
• Concentrating on emotional issues
• Pulled muscles in your back
• Muscle pain in your back
• Slipped disc
• Pulled muscle
• Fractured ribs
• Kidney infections
• Osteoporosis

You can overuse your muscles when you’re constantly lifting things.  When this happens, you can contribute to pain in the middle of your back.  With your spine, the vertebrae are attached to your muscles and ligaments.  Because of the makeup of the spine, it cannot move around a lot in the middle.  If you do a lot of lifting, your vertebrae can be affected.  You can experience back pain in middle area from this.

Believe it or not, lack of exercise and diet can contribute to chronic middle back pain as well.

Your back plays a vital role in mobility and needs care and attention through exercise and proper diet.  You can do stretching to exercise your muscles.  This can help to alleviate pain in the middle of your back.  You can also do exercises for your chest muscles as well.  This will alleviate pressure felt in the middle of your back.  Make it a habit to do these several times a week.

You should eat foods with plenty of vitamins, nutrients and minerals.  Fresh fruits and vegetables can help with this.  Eating apples, berries, green leafy vegetables and other foods are the best choices.  This will help to keep your body strong.  It can also help you keep your bones strong which can affect your back.  Another thing that can help you keep strong bones is milk.  Lack of this can cause your bones to get brittle and possibly cause osteoporosis.
You can also use hot and cold water compression to relieve the chronic pain in the middle of your back.  This treatment is good to use, but you must use it constantly.

Whatever you use, you must be consistent in order to see results.
